February 2017:  Our project this month was to make blankets for several kids at The Villages in Indianapolis.  Kids are often placed in foster homes without any of their own belongings, such as pillows and blankets.  We thought it might be nice to give them their own blanket and remind them that they are loved.  We had "You Are Loved" embroidered on all 7 blankets.

January 2017:  The weather has been record warm for January (and we are loving it).  I walked by fresh flowers at the store and it made me smile.  The colors were bright, beautiful and refreshing.  We thought it would help an elderly person to receive fresh flowers so we put together arrangements for a dozen residents at the Stratford Retirement Center.  The kids decorated cards and we attached them to each vase.  We delivered them while the residents were eating dinner.  We put all the vases on a table so they could take one as they headed back to their rooms.  We hope the flowers made them smile and brightened their day a little. :)

Fall 2016:  Our local fire station has been wonderful to us and we wanted to take the time to thank them for all they do each and every day to keep our community safe. We took a beautiful Fall mum and 2 homemade apple pies as a token of our appreciation.  They were pleasantly surprised when they opened the door and the kids handed them the thank you notes, food and flowers. They were so kind and gave us an hour long tour of the fire station.  Our kids were so happy! What a great group of people that help represent our community so well.
